Job summary
Due to the retirement of the Finance Manager we are seeking an Admin and Finance Assistant to support our Practice Manager and finance department with daily admin and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be organised, able to learn new skills quickly with attention to detail, pro-active and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. They will need to be flexible and adaptable to work for the NHS which is an ever changing environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the practice business team.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Support
Manage mailboxes and petty cash
Assist with financial reconciliations
Assist with month end claims
Prepare the monthly payroll
General finance admin
Admin Support to the Practice Manager
To support the practice manager in the effective administration and management of the practice. The PA to the practice manager will work under the direction of the practice manager and Partners striving to enhance a number of key systems in both clinical and administrative areas.
HR Support
Identifying areas for improvement to enhance patient services
Support Practice Manager in the compilation of practice reports
Complaint Support

Situated in the town of Swanley, conveniently located just off the M25/A20, Swanley Medical Practice is an integral part of the NHS, dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services to our community. Our practice operates across three sites: The Cedars and The Oaks in Swanley, approximately two hundred meters apart, and the third in the village of Hextable. With a patient list of 25,000, we boast a dedicated team, including GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, HCAs, and other clinicians from our Primary Care Network. Notably, we are also a GP Training Practice. We are looking to build on our existing team, we are currently training a Nurse Associate and have four Trainee Gps.
