As a Trainee Pharmacy Dispenser, you'll receive comprehensive training and support whilst working alongside experienced pharmacy professionals. Main duties of the job

Core responsibilities include:

  • Learning to accurately dispense prescriptions under close supervision of registered pharmacy professionals
  • Assisting with prescription handling and customer service at the pharmacy counter
  • Supporting the sale of over-the-counter medicines and retail products (with appropriate training)
  • Helping to maintain accurate records and stock management
  • Participating in our quality improvement culture, learning about near misses and incident reporting
  • Undertaking your NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services qualification with our full support
  • Attending training sessions and completing coursework as part of your qualification
  • Gradually taking on more responsibility as your skills and confidence develop
