Helmsley Medical Centre

Executive Assistant

The closing date is 13 June 2025

Job summary

An exceptional opportunity to learn how a primary healthcare organisation works from the

inside out.

Were looking for a motivated and highly organised individual to support the senior leadership

team at South Hambleton and Ryedale Primary Care Network (SHaR PCN) and Helmsley Medical

Centre.

Whether youre a recent graduate or someone with strong admin experience looking for your

next challenge, this role offers the chance to get involved in meaningful work at the heart of NHS

primary care from managing meetings and coordinating recruitment, to supporting projects that

improve services for patients across North Yorkshire.

Main duties of the job

Youll work directly with the Lead Manager of our PCN (who is also the Practice Manager at

Helmsley) and support other senior colleagues. This role is varied, fast-paced, and requires

someone who is comfortable juggling day-to-day admin with longer-term work such as project

support, recruitment coordination and compliance tracking.

The job is based in Helmsley a small, friendly and forward-thinking medical centre but youll

also be contributing to work that spans a wider geography and impacts multiple GP practices. So,

whilst we work in a lovely, picturesque location, our work is ambitious and often cutting edge

About us

From time to time, youll also be required to travel to other practice sites across the PCN, so a

degree of flexibility and the ability to drive is essential.

If you are fantastic at juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines, you have outstanding

computer literacy then we would welcome an application from you to join our forward thinking

team. In return you will be part of our executive team, working alongside our managers and

organisation leaders. There are, therefore, opportunities for career progression for the person

who demonstrates great aptitude.
