Job summary

Due to the retirement of one of our long-standing GP Partners, we are looking to recruit a Salaried GP with the potential for future partnership to join our GP team in a busy well established suburban practice. As a Salaried GP you will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of clinical care for all registered and temporary patients. Our current list size is circa 7000, with a GOOD CQC rating and we are, regularly high QOF achievers.

We would love to hear from dynamic, committed and caring GPs, able to offer up to 4 - 6 sessions per week and who can demonstrate a strong work and team ethic, we are offering a salary of £10.5K - £11K per session dependant on experience and duties.

The post-holder will be expected to adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice, leading by example and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

The starting date for the position is January 2025.

Main duties of the job

  • In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.

  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
  • Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
  • Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
  • Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
  • In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Our team comprises 2 forward-thinking Partners and salaried GP who work closely with an ANP, 2 Physician Associates, Clinical Pharmacist, Paramedic Home Visiting Service, Practice Nursing Team, Mental Health Nurse & Social Prescriber.
