Main duties of the job
The candidate must work well within a team, be punctual, and be able to show initiative and work under pressure during busy periods. Reception staff act as the face of the practice, so a pleasant manner is important to the role.
Previous Reception experience is Required.
- Answering phones / queries
- Making / cancelling appointments for all clinicians
- Issuing prescriptions
- New registrations
- Giving results
- Scanning documents to patient notes
- Liaising between clinicians and patients
- General administration duties
- No specific qualifications required
- Good communication Skills
- Experience of handling phone calls
- Previous experience in a reception/administration role within Gerneral Practice.

The perfect candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience working with Emis and in a Gp practice is preferred.
