Dispensary Manager/Team Leader/Dispenser

Job summary
We are looking for a self-motivated, conscientious person to join our friendly semi rural practice in Wickhambrook. We seek an experienced qualified dispenser, who can effectively co-ordinate and manage our dispensary whilst supporting the delivery of an excellent and profitable service to our dispensing patients. The post-holder will work hands-on as a dispenser but also have dedicated administrative time, working not only with dispensary colleagues but with the wider practice team. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a busy environment with face-to-face and telephone patient contact, and be a proactive member of our team. They will be able to demonstrate strict adherence to Policies and Procedures and ideally will have some awareness of managing staff and dispensary administrative procedures.
Main duties of the job
In order to qualify for shortlisting, your application will need to demonstrate the following:
- BTEC/NVQ Level 2/3 recognised dispensing qualification or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Team working ethos

- Contracted hours of work approx 24 per week, the arrangement of these will be discussed with the successful candidate. Must be flexible between 8am and 6.30pm, and the ability to cover holidays/sick leave and occasional early/late shifts is essential.
About us
- We are a GMS practice dispensing to almost all of our 5080 patients.
- We are in an idyllic location in purpose built premises in the friendly village of Wickhambrook which is a semi rural area in Suffolk. We are well served by a good road network and are easily accessible from the nearby towns of Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Newmarket, Sudbury (bus service is not frequent so own transport essential).
- Our clinical system is EMIS Web and we are proud of our consistently high achievement in the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).
