Job summary
Are you an enthusiastic and motivated GP who wants to join a
happy and supportive team? If so, we'd love to hear from you. We are looking to
recruit one or two GPs to fill an upcoming vacancy of 8 clinical sessions. If
you are the right fit for us we are happy to accommodate your preferences as a
retainer, salaried GP, or potential partner.
Main duties of the job
- 8 clinical sessions - for one GP or split between two GPs, depending on
suitability and applicant preference.
- Start date January 2025, but willing to wait for the right
candidate(s).
- Pro-rata duty sessions.
- Mixture of on-site and remote working.
- Portfolio careers welcome - current partners have roles
within the ICB, LMC, RCGP eLearning, Health Education England and Portsmouth
University.

Westlands Medical Centre is a 10,300 patient training
practice located in south eastern Hampshire. Our doctors benefit from personal
lists and full control over their clinics, bringing greater job satisfaction
and better patient care. Our bespoke online-first triage system allows a mix of
in-surgery and remote working. Duty doctor sessions are pro-rata and are well
supported by ANPs and paramedics, as well as a home visiting team. We are
committed to professional development for all staff, and time needed for
supervision is protected.

As well as routine care, you will take part in a duty rota (pro-rata) as part of a highly skilled and reliable duty team comprising of ANPs and paramedics.
You will work alongside a full complement of practice nurses, specialist nurses (diabetes, respiratory and heart failure), clinical pharmacists, social prescribers, physiotherapists and a primary care mental health team. We are also a training practice, with two GP registrars and medical students, and dedicated time to support staff development.
