Job summary
We are seeking a full time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team 37.5 hours a week.
Monday 10.30am-6.30pm, Tuesday 10.30am-6.30pm, Wednesday 8.00am-4.00pm, Thursday8.00am-4.00pmand Friday 10.30am-6.30pm.
Flexibility will be required.
There is also a Saturday rota which you would be required to be part of which will be a maximum of 2 Saturdays per year.
Main duties of the job
Duties will involve:
- answering the Practices telephone and assisting patients in a courteous, efficient and effective manner
- to assist in patients prescriptions
- greeting and dealing with patients and other visitors either in person or via the telephone
- process personal and telephone requests to book appointments, visits and telephone consultations
- taking messages and efficient communications
- filing, retrieving paperwork and photocopying
- processing and management of patient registrations
- computer data entry/data allocation and collation
- be part of a large shared rota for the occasional out of hour shift
About us
The Birchwood Medical Practice is based close to the City Centre and has a list size of 10600 patients.
The Practice is run by seven GP Partners and there is a large Practice team, including:
Six Practice nurses and 2 HCAs
Four administration staff
Three secretaries
Nine receptionists
We are a training practice for GP Registrars and student nurses. We have a CQC rating of Good.
