Job summary

We are looking for passionate individuals to join our fantastic team in the busy call centre within the medical practice. As a Receptionist in our call centre you will act as first point of contact for all our patients and their queries. Our team takes pride is ensuring our patient's are Put at the heart of everything we do.

We offer great training, opprtunities to work with other departments of the surgery and look after staff wellbeing.

You will also have the chance to work closey with clinical staff as we offer our patient's a triage service through yourselves to ensure we get our patient's the best possible outcome.

You will be able to engage with our patients through our fantastic website and be trained to use our IT systems and software.

Main duties of the job

Anwering external calls from patients, care homes, pharmacies, hospitals, coroners and many more.

To be fast paced, computer literate  and personal goals to achieve more call intake. (This can be personal targets or efforts within the team)

To complete tasks and Docman when calls are quieter or off. (training will be provided)

To communicate well and appropraitely with other departments within the practice such as emailing and face to face communication.

To ensure we are safeguarding our patient's at all times, by following our protocols and using data protection questions when dealing with patient's.

General post duties will be required using our franking machine.

Completing any requests we recieve through our website and reply to the patient accordingly. (Training will be given)

To assist on our front reception at times to check patients in, as it can get quite busy.

To support patient's and raise concerns with the appropraite teams if needed.

To ensure you are covid safe, ensuring you are testing daily before work and ensuring a clean workspace at all times.

To be able to use a switchboard telephone (training will be provided)

To attend meetings, as a whole practice and as part of the reception team meetings weekly.

About us

You will work within a large team of 24 reception staff, doctors, paramedics, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Physician Associates, muskeletal clinicians and more in a dianamic environment and no two days are the same.

We work very closely with district nurses, midwives and the PCT department within our practice.

This is a busy, fast paced role and very rewarding which makes this job worth while, no better feeling than helping or supporting someone.

We are part of the primary care network (PCN) which of three surgeries and we are the hub.
