Job summary

Due to the retirement of our Practice Nurse, a unique opportunity now exists to become part of our rural dispensing practice on a part time basis, Monday to Friday. The Partners are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and proactive Nurse Practitioner to complement our small, friendly team of clinicians.

We are looking for a Part Time Nurse Practitioner for between 10-20 hours to work alongside our HCA and clinical team. This would be a new job role to Brent Area Medical Centre.

Main duties of the job

As aNurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive and patient-centred care. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of conditions in collaboration with our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to work autonomously and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking medical histories, performing physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic results.
  • Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications in line with your competencies and the organisations protocols.
  • Health Education: Provide health promotion, lifestyle advice, and preventive care to patients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless, coordinated patient care.
  • Leadership: Support our HCA as required.
  • Clinical Excellence: Ensure the delivery of high-quality care while adhering to clinical guidelines and best practices.
