Job summary

St Luke's Surgery is an inner city Surgery looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the practice as a receptionist/admin. You should be able to deliver friendly, efficient service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all patients, with the key aim of retaining and attracting new patients. Be highly motivated and enthusiastic, have good communication and organisational skills and work efficiently under pressure. You should also have the ability to work as part of a team and be able to work efficiently under pressure. Have a positive attitude, be motivated, compassionate flexible and enthusiastic. Previous General Practice experience and audio typing is desirable, but all applicants are welcome. Good IT / keyboard skills are essential. The post involves working 5-6 hours per day covering mornings, afternoon, and evenings on a rota over five days.

Main duties of the job

Duties include making appointments, dealing with enquiries from patients & health professionals. Administration tasks to include typing, document scanning & data entry.

About us

St Luke's Surgery is a well-established inner city practice with a patient list size of approximately 3,900. In 2016 our CQC rating was good as a single handed partner. We have taken on a new female partner who joined the practice team in October 2018. For our second CQC inspection in 2019 our rating was good.

  • Friendly management and reception staff.
  • System used EMIS Web and askmyGP.
  • Recently launched askmyGP, an online consultation and workflow system enabled by software. Two thirds of patients are managed by message, phone and video.
  • Two partner GPs, 1 part time associate GP and 1 part time sessional GP.
  • Health care assistant with range of skills currently well supported Practice Nurses at two practices.
  • Part of Nottingham City CCG/ PCN and members of Nottingham City GP Alliance.
  • Work Collaboratively with the other GP Practice within Radford Health Centre.
