Remote salaried GP - Telephone and E-consult

Job summary

Following a successful pilot of the Remote Digital Locum we wish to embrace further innovative ways of working and are now looking to expand this to a salaried position dealing with a mix of telephone calls, electronic consultations coupled with the possibility of some review of pathology and repeat prescription management.

Whilst it would be preferable if you lived in the area this role you can be based anywhere in the country.

Hours are flexible so this role may be ideal for those that want or need to work from home. Whilst electronic consultations and phone calls must be processed in Core Hours, pathology or repeat prescriptions can be done outside these hours provided they are dealt with on the day.

If you have a patient that subsequently needs to be seen Face to Face then you can task our reception team to book a suitable appointment. Should you need to discuss with the patients named G.P. this can be done either by telephone call or video call, you will be fully supported by the G.P. Partners and the Practice Manager.

Ideally we are looking to cover 5 days a week but this can be divided between a number of remote Doctors.

Pay will be dependant on a “menu” of various elements of the role which we will pre agree jointly prior to you starting.

Main duties of the job

Dealing remotely with telephone and E-consultations, with the option to exchange an agreed number of pathology results and repeat script authorisation for telephone and electronic consulattions.
