Please note that this is a relief secretary position, and the role will involve providing cover as and when required, including but not limited to covering for annual leave, sickness, and other ad-hoc absences. The role is flexible, and the successful candidate will be expected to provide support on an as-needed basis, with hours and shifts varying according to the needs of the surgery.

As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the practice. Key duties include:

Preparing Letters: Drafting, typing, and sending patient letters, including appointment confirmations, medical reports, and correspondence to external healthcare providers.

Answering Patient Queries: Providing a professional and welcoming service, answering telephone calls, emails, and responding to general inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.

Liaising with Healthcare Providers: Communicating with external agencies, hospitals, and clinics to arrange tests, follow-ups, and consultations for patients.
