We are a lovely GP practice in Plymstock who are looking for a permanent Lead Administrator/ Receptionist.
The role is based around a 30hr week with a mixture of 5 or 10hr shifts Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday, this is to honour our Out of Hours Access contract.
Main duties of the job
Alongside the routine reception duties the successful candidate would be expected to lead on the following:
Duties to include (but not limited to):
- Leading a team of receptionists/administrators organising team meetings
- Admin rota
- Accurate recording of annual leave/time off for your team (TeamNet)
- Support Admin appraisals
- Ensure your team are up to date with their mandatory training (Blue Stream)
- Induction for new staff and locums
- Admin/Reception training for new staff members
- Activate fob/building access.
- Support patients/team with online triage (Anima) above normal queries
- First point of contact for complaints and queries outside of the normal day to day issues
- Co-ordinate maintenance & annual building checks
- Ensure the practice has enough stock and supplies required for the successful running of the practice batteries, forms, Q Fits etc.
- Supervise phone system to ensure messages are up to date, auditing call and wait times (Think Health/SW Comms)
- Any other tasks which are relevant to the successful running of the admin & reception team
About us
Dean Cross Surgery is located in Plymstock, Plymouth with 10,200 registered patients. The practice has a Good CQC inspection and has excellent patient feedback, with staff feeling valued and appreciated by our patient group.
The Practice team is led by 3 GP partners who are supported by salaried GPs, an established ANP team, skilled Nursing & HCA and administration team. We have the following professionals working alongside us, Mental Health Nurse, Wellbeing Coach, Social Prescribers, Pharmacists, Advanced Physiotherapist, First Contact Physio and Nursing Home Team.
The reception team of 9 are an experienced team and work within the surgery covering all aspects of reception. They cover the surgery daily from 0800 until 1830 Monday to Friday and provide cover for Improved access on a Saturday alongside the Mewstone PCN team.
