GP Healthcare Alliance have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner Prescriber to work alongside a mix of allied healthcare professionals, delivering a variety of services.
GP Healthcare Alliance are looking for a dedicated and
experienced Nurse Practitioner Prescriber to join our team on a part time basis
and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services to
our community.
Based in our Hadleigh Clinic, you will play a pivotal role
in delivering clinical care to our patients. You will work
autonomously, providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a
wide range of conditions.
Main duties of the job
Professional responsibilities
To work within his/her scope of practice.
Be responsible for remaining up-to-date with training requirements to maintain skills/competencies.
Be adaptable to change and embrace the evolving requirements of the patients and the business
To have a background in immunisations, travel health, smears and health promotion
To ensure mandatory training is up-to-date, in line with organisational policy.
To participate in clinical supervision.
To demonstrate a clear understanding of the accountability and legal implications of the PN role.
Be responsible for the care and upkeep of any equipment provided by GPHA.
To participate in an annual appraisal and performance review with line manager.
Clinical Responsibilities
To undertake a variety of Nurse Practitioner services, which may include
- Ear irrigation
- Toenail cutting
- Cryotherapy
- Blood tests
- Travel vaccines
- Non travel vaccines
- Weight loss injections
- Ring pessary changes
Highlight any gaps in knowledge/training to the CNM to allow them to offer support in order to fulfil the duties of this post.
Ensure clinical practice is safe and effective and remains within the boundaries of competence.
Work in line with organisational policies and procedural guidelines.
Attend and participate in clinical meetings as required
Take part in clinical audit, significant events and complaints to continually review and improve the quality of care provision.

GP Healthcare Alliance is a company originally formed as a GP Federation made up of 18 practices in Castle Point, Rochford and Rayleigh, working together to provide healthcare for all practices and patients.
All practice members remain independent contractors but work collaboratively to improve healthcare services within our area.

To maintain infection control standards in varied and challenging environments in line with the organisations infection control policy and procedural guidance. This includes the care of ear irrigation devices and equipment but not exhaustive of.
To ensure the safety of patients, relatives and colleagues and to report all incidents and near misses in line with the risk management policy.
To remain up-to-date with all mandatory training
To maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding adult and children guidance to ensure that those at risk of abuse/suffering abuse are identified and the necessary process to protect them is followed
To meet responsibilities as an employee as set out in the organisations corporate and clinical policies.
To maintain confidentiality at all times.
