Do you want to train to be a Nursing Associate? We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced health care assistants / phlebotomists to join our Trainee Nursing Associate programme. You will complete a fully funded two-year apprenticeship with Coventry University to gain your Nursing and Midwifery (NMC) council registration as a Registered Nursing Associate.
The course will start January 2024.
This is a training role, leading to a Band 4 Nursing Associate position, on successful completion of the programme. Please see Job Description and Person Specification for further details.

The Nursing Associate training programme combines and integrates both academic and work-based learning through close collaboration between employers and education providers. A trainee Nursing Associate will be based within Sowe Valley Primary Care Network working with a regular practice, but will experience working in alternative settings in order to maximise their experience to fulfil all the requirements of the programme.
At the end of the programme, the trainee Nursing Associate will be equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a Nursing Associate and will work to a nationally recognised code of conduct.
The overall outcome from the training programme is a Nursing Associate that is qualified to practice in the widest range of settings as well as being equipped with the specific knowledge, skills and capabilities required for the context in which they trained and ready for employment.
As a trainee, you will:
- Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (or other registered care professional) with a focus on promoting health and independence.
- Have proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with NHS and PCN values
- Work as part of a designated clinical and care team to delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual.
