St John's Medical Centre have an exciting vacancy for a Part-time Healthcare Administrator to join our friendly and welcoming Practice Team.
The role of the Healthcare Administrator is to be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative
duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. To ensure
relevant information is recorded correctly in the patient record. Your
contribution will ensure smooth day to day running of the nursing team and the
practice as a whole.
It would be advantageous for candidates to have worked in General Practice/NHS roles, and understand the current pressures and demands faced by the NHS, however this is not essential. Ultimately, we are looking for the right candidate to join our established Nursing Team.
This is a part-time position working 22.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday 10:30am-3pm.
Please note that flexibility is required for the role, and you may be asked to work additional hours to suit the needs of the Practice.

The following are the core responsibilities of the role of Healthcare Administrator.There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

Ensure all clinical rooms are adequately
stocked and prepared for each session.

Preparing blood forms ready for the nurses
clinic.

Print and prepare sample forms.
-
Prepare samples for collection by hospital
pathology- 3 times a day.

Checking D Dimer machine.
-
Check glucose machine.
-
Carrying out recall invites such as flu &
covid vaccines, pneumonia, shingles, RSV, baby immunisations etc.

Creating and managing nurses rotas.
-
Ensure when significant events are identified,
they are recorded appropriately on GP Team Net.

Checking emergency bag and emergency equipment
daily.

Checking water temperatures.
-
Uploading 24-hour ECGs and 24-hour blood
pressure results and forwarding these to the relevant clinician.

To act as a chaperone during situations as
requested by either clinical or management staff.
