Are you a Paediatric Trained Nurse within Secondary Care and want a new direction? Are you looking to develop your career in general practice delivering care in the right place and at the right time, working with a supportive and friendly Clinical and Non-Clinical Team? If so, come and join our Primary Care team for an exciting new role.

Main duties of the job

Health Care First Partnership (HCF) has an exciting opportunity to join our organisation and work with our established Paediatric Nurse team. We welcome applications from Primary and Secondary Care, and who share our vision of providing the best possible general practice care to our patient population, of working in a caring team and of seeking innovative solutions to the challenges of the ever-changing NHS.

This would be a development role with training and support being provided, if required. The successful candidate would work closely with our GP and ANP colleagues in assessing children with minor illness, supporting parents in managing ill children, promote health through routine vaccination/immunisation programmes and support the Safeguarding Team. Any transferable skills would be utilised; Independent Prescribing would be an advantage but is not essential. This is a rare opportunity to individualise, and trailblazer a role in general practice and to be at the forefront of innovative clinical care.

About us

HCF is proud to be one of the largest general practices serving the local population of Castleford, Ferrybridge, Methley and Normanton. We operate out of seven sites and deliver general medical services to 32,000 patients. As an organisation we encourage personal growth and support innovation.

We are an inspiring and innovative well run general practice that puts its community and people at the heart of decision making. We are: Accountable, Credible, Compassionate and Empowered. We are ACCE.
