Main duties of the job

The post-holder is expected to be either an experienced Nurse or General Practitioner, who acting within their professional boundaries, will in the main fit/remove contraceptive coil devices and insert/remove implant contraceptive devices within a centralised service for our patients.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our extensive and established Nursing Team as Family Planning Practitioner. We welcome applications from Primary Care, Secondary Care and Community Service colleagues who share our vision of providing the best possible general practice care to our patient population, of working in a caring team and of seeking innovative solutions to the challenges of the ever-changing NHS. You will work closely with our GP / Nursing team and will involve a combination of some telephone assessments along with 20-30 minute face-to-face consultations.
