Job summary

Part time role 18 hours per week.

To provide practical and administrative support for community engagement events, ensuring smooth delivery by managing logistics, bookings, and stakeholder coordination

Main duties of the job

Support the Community Engagement & Events Planner including but not limited to -

Book venues and arrange facilities for events.

Coordinate event logistics including equipment, refreshments, and signage.

Liaise with stakeholders and community partners to secure stalls and participation.

Track and manage event budgets within approved limits.

Support the Community Engagement & Event Planner in preparing event materials and merchandise.

Assist with event promotion through social media and local networks.

Ensure all practical arrangements are completed on time for successful event delivery.

Working closely with the Community Engagement & Events Planner, the postholder helps coordinate logistics, manage bookings, liaise with stakeholders, and maintain accurate project documentation. This role is vital in ensuring that events run efficiently, meet organisational standards, and successfully engage local communities.

The postholder will take responsibility for booking venues and arranging all required facilities, ensuring each location is suitable, accessible, and confirmed well in advance. They will support the coordination of event logistics, including equipment setup, refreshments, signage, and any additional resources needed for effective event delivery.

A key aspect of the role involves liaising with stakeholders, community partners, and local organisations to secure stalls, confirm attendance, and maintain positive working relationships. The role includes supporting the Community Engagement & Events Planner in preparing event materials, merchandise, and documentation, ensuring everything is ready ahead of schedule.
