Job summary

Keeping the Cancer safety netting list up to date and completing tasks within safe timescales as allocated by our CSN Care Coordinator.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of Cancer safety netting administration across all sites to include Brownlow Group Practice, Kensington, Marybone and Princes Park Health centres.

The CSN lead will ensure workload is appropriately actioned within the set time scales, liaising with Site managers, Care Coordinator, GPS, Quality & Performance Leads.

The CSN support will work as part of the CSN centralised admin Team. The team will work together to ensure that tasks are carried out to the required deadlines. The team has to respond to circumstances and a positive and flexible approach is required.

The Postholder will need to organise their workload and manage their time effectively to ensure that all tasks are completed within the required timescales.

Action new entrys first (could be adding bloods to ICE and sending a text/calling patient, calling the hospital/patient to see if they have had an appointment etc)

Once new ones are completed go through the spreadsheet for anything that is due for that day, action, update the due date and comments on what you have done.

Send a PN to the clinician if they have been contacted three times and have not yet been for the bloods or if they have DNAd appointments that mean they need a new referral.

Check tasks from any clinicians regarding a safety net template and action.

Ensure excellent communication by handing over to each team member with accurate detail and updated status on workload to ensure continuity, quality & efficiency throughout as may be working from different sites.

Support and work alongside the PCA teams on giving updates on patient cases should a patient get in touch for information.

Have the ability, confidence and commitment to work independently on site.

Keep themselves up to date on any system changes and training that may be needed.

Attend necessary meetings allocated by Care Coordinators/ Clinicians/ Performance & Quality leads

Provide workload updates/risk detail to Care Coordinators to prevent future problems or highlight current in sufficient time.

Work closely with clinical leads on all sites to provide a strong central working process

Provide updates to site managers on site performance.

Always checking the date of the template is correct and that the template is being used appropriately.

Support in the day to day running of our teledermatology app and alert clinicians of urgent referrals on receipt.
