Liverpool Training Hub Admin Manager

Grade/ Hours: Band 6 / Part-Time 2.5 days

Responsible to: Operations Manager / Liverpool Training Hub Clinical Lead

Accountable to: Partners

Main Purpose: The over-arching function of the post-holder is to ensure that the training hub is well positioned to facilitate placements for students, training programs to new entrants to primary care, improve recruitment and retention and ensure that trainees are well supported throughout their early career.

Main duties of the job

  • To manage the training hub including all aspects of line management

  • To provide direct line management for the Training Hub Administrator, including performance management

  • To identify continuing workforce requirements for the training hub itself to ensure that the team is able to deliver an effective service

  • To work alongside the CCG Lead for workforce, undertaking workforce audits and training needs analysis of the Primary Care workforce in Liverpool

  • To identify emerging trends in relation to work force issues and recruitment needs and work with CCG and the Cheshire and Merseyside Training Hub to respond appropriately

Job Title: Liverpool Training Hub Admin Manager

  • To provide analysis of audits to inform business planning for the training hub, including development plans for the workforce, based on the outcomes of the training needs analysis

  • To co-ordinate the promotion of educational opportunities to PCNs and Practices in conjunction with placement leads

  • To develop and implement effective records management processes relevant to education and development programs and ensure they are maintained

  • To build and maintain adequate placement capacity for students and trainees in Primary Care in conjunction with placement leads

  • To ensure the training hub provides administrative support to educational supervisors and mentors as required

  • To promote mentoring opportunities, recruiting and maintaining a register of qualified mentors & coaches

  • To complete and submit returns and risk registers, such as the training hub maturity matrix, financial reports and quality plans

  • To ensure identified risks are communicated to stakeholders appropriately, and actions are completed

  • To identify and complete relevant work to enable the training hub to be rated mature

  • To identify relevant funding opportunities, and write bids to increase income and development opportunities

  • To oversee and ensure appropriate budget management for the training hub

  • To liaise with key stakeholders e.g. HEIs, other training hubs, CCG, NHSE as required

Essential

  • A sound general education to A-level or equivalent, or equivalent working experience.
  • A good standard of grammar and spelling in the English language.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Good keyboard skills.
  • Experience of using Microsoft excel
  • Experience of managing or supervising staff.
  • Experience of giving feedback and training to improve staff performance.
  • Essential- knowledge of project management
  • Essential- The ability to oversee multiple work streams

  • Training or qualifications in management, administration, IT or other related areas.
