Job summary

To support the site manager and clinical team to deliver safe and effective Covid-19 vaccination clinics by helping to manage our patient flow throughout the site.

Main duties of the job

Directing those arriving for vaccination to the appropriate site entrance, explaining the one-way systems, wearing face coverings, using hand sanitiser, social distancing

Check patients do not have any COVID symptoms before arriving them

Asking those queuing before entering the vaccination site to continue to follow social distancing guidelines, while they are waiting, and helping to ensure there is no overcrowding in venue

Checking paperwork for those arriving, making sure they have a booked appointment and are at the correct site

Identifying that anyone that may need additional support, e.g. language or mobility support

Job Title: Covid-19 Vaccination Operational Support

Main Purpose of Post: To support the site manager and clinical team to deliver safe and effective Covid-19 vaccination clinics by helping to manage our patient flow throughout the site

Accountable to: Senior Delivery Manager

Salary: £18,005 - £19,337 pro-rata

Contract Type: Part Time / Temporary 12 Month, flexible working including weekend work

Asking those waiting for vaccination to continue to follow social distancing guidelines, and helping to ensure there is no overcrowding in venue

Report any concerns that may affect the safe running of the clinic to the site manager

Ensure that a record of the immunisation is made within the patient record

Cleaning down the pod after recording the vaccination and after the patient has left the pod following direction from the immuniser

Check IT is working after having logged in to EMIS and Pinnacle for both self and immuniser

Ensure enough paper vaccination records are available for the whole session in case IT fails

Undergo regular appraisal, supervision and training as necessary to update skills and knowledge
