Job summary
We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our ENT and Audiology services based within the NHS at Broomfield Hospital on a Fixed Term Contract, you will be assisting the ENT clinician's and Audiologists in clinic.
As a Healthcare Assistant you will be a key point of contact for our patients, undertaking essential daily tasks to ensure that patients are adequately looked after, and their records dealt with in line with Information governance policy.
Previous Hospital Healthcare experience desirable, but not essential, all we ask is that you are reliable, professional, able to work independently, can commit to the working at different locations/hours and have excellent computer skills.
Healthcare assistants are an integral part of the team, they support our clinician's and Patients without the input of our Healthcare Assistants, our clinics wouldn’t be able to function properly, so if you would like to be a part of a team that really makes a difference, we would love to hear from you
Working hours and Locations
- This is a fixed term contract for 6 months, working Saturdays and Sundays 9am till 5.30pm

Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant your role will involve but will not be limited to:
- Assisting clinicians undertaking diagnostic examinations, chaperoning patients and assist consultants
- Explaining to patients what takes will take place during their appointment.
- To provide care for the patient whilst maintaining a safe and clean environment, ensuring patient comfort, dignity and privacy are always maintained and are specific to the patients’ needs
- To support a high-quality clerical and clinical support service, entering patient data into computer systems, always ensuring attention to detail
- Being professional, timely and reliable
- Ensuring confidentiality is always adhered to
- Proficient use of Computer Software Systems, Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel)
