We are seeking an enthusiastic Deputy Director of Operations to join our established Primary Care services and be a part of a company that really makes a difference.

The Deputy Director of Operations will be a visible and present leader providing support to deliver all patient services, leading a multi-disciplinary professional team, achieving targets set for our practices. They will provide proactive stakeholder management externally and internally building robust relationships.

The Deputy Director of Operations will lead on delivery plans and financial management across all practices, monitoring performance trends and KPI compliance.

The Deputy Director of Operations will oversee the clinical governance, inclusive of CQC requirements and risk management processes across all Primary Care practices and contracts, collaborating with support teams such as Governance, in the keen oversight and management of all contractual obligations and standards for the Primary Care arm of the organisation

Primary Care Management experience at senior level is essential for this role

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Primary Care to develop and implement strategic plans for the practices.
  • Identify growth opportunities and proactively explore additional revenue streams
  • Ensure the services within the portfolio run within the assigned budgets, minimising financial and resource wastage at all opportunities
  • Maintain good working relationships with the commissioners, Specialist Care Hubs, and local staff, keeping informal links with key commissioning staff to maximise benefits to the business.
  • Attendance of commissioner meetings as necessary
  • Assist in the development of company tendering for new contracts.
  • Ensure all external reporting requirements are met, with any gaps in reporting escalated where necessary.
  • Design and implement performance dashboards using Power BI or similar tools to track key performance indicators and provide real-time insight into primary care operations and digital roll-outs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define relevant KPIs and metrics aligned with organisational goals and objectives
  • Analyse and interpret data from multiple sources, identifying trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations based on data analysis, communicating findings to Director of Operations and other stakeholders.
  • Develop a culture of employee engagement and job satisfaction across the team
