Job summary

A fantastic opportunity to join our Community Dermatology Service as a Healthcare Assistant around the Preston area 

This role is ideal for somebody who enjoys working independently, while being a part of a supportive and friendly team, working together to make a difference to how health services are delivered to patients.

Main duties of the job

An ideal candidate would have previous experience as Healthcare Assistant in a GP practice, hospital, or any other clinical setting with a passion for making the patient journey as comfortable as possible.

Following full training, you will be supporting our dermatologists and nurses in face-to-face clinics as well as assisting with minor procedures, you will also conduct your own medical photography clinics where you will complete questionnaires with patients and take some specialised images.

There are 40 hours per week available over Monday to Friday, however weekend work may sometimes be required. You will be working based on the rota with clinics starting as early as 8 am and finishing as late as 6pm.

  • You will ensure the clinic is always fully stocked and tidy and assist with stock check and ordering supplies.
  • You need to be able to enter notes into electronical patient records
  • You would be a part of a friendly team who all strive to deliver excellent dermatology care to our patients.
