Job summary

Our Operations team are looking for a full-time Receptionist, to work in our London clinic. You will provide a high quality, professional reception and administrative service to patients, doctors, staff, colleagues, health service professionals and others.

You will act as the first point of contact for patients contacting the Practice and to portray the Practice in the highest possible professional basis. To ensure that enquiries from patients are efficiently and courteously handled to the mutual satisfaction of the partners and patients.

Main duties of the job

  • To identify risks and implement and drive change where identified.
  • To be a resource for specialist advice and information across the organisation, giving advice to multi disciplines on the clinical management of patients.
  • To engage with and maintain good relationships with relevant stakeholders and to represent the diabetic service at clinical, professional and management meetings as relevant.
  • To ensure that diabetes care is delivered in a timely, professional manner whilst addressing any health inequality issues that may affect access to care.
  • To work with marketing and relevant stakeholders to increase patient engagement
  • To work with the Personalised care team to facilitate and run Virtual Group consultations and ensure patients have access to structured education programmes and REWIND as appropriate.
  • Undertake clinical supervision , education and training of nursing colleagues on an individual or group basis.
  • Attend regular proactive care meetings and report on progress and achievements for diabetes throughout the QOF year.

Job responsibilities

Our Operations team are looking for a full-time Receptionist, to work in our Kings Cross or Westminster London clinic. You will provide a high quality, professional reception and administrative service to patients, doctors, staff, colleagues, health service professionals and others.

You will act as the first point of contact for patients contacting the Practice and to portray the Practice in the highest possible professional basis. To ensure that enquiries from patients are efficiently and courteously handled to the mutual satisfaction of the partners and patients.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

Act as a primary point of contact between GP at Hand & the clinic location.

Receive and direct patients and visitors to the practice promptly & courteously.

Process incoming and outgoing telephone calls.

Following up requests for appointments, information from hospitals, booking transport or interpreters

Organise transport for patients to hospital appointments

Be Responsible for booking in appointment, emailing and faxing referrals.

Manage medical records arrival and deduction process.

Effectively manage reception area to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the integrated reception service.

Support other administrative responsibilities associated with the role.

Assist our members with using the app and digital services.

Be a key contact for Babylon clinicians; and manage the communication channels between the clinicians and the Babylon team

To observe safe working practices, with respect to health and safety procedures, confidentiality and computer security.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Someone with Receptionist experience

Experience working in an environment with direct contact with the public

Worked in a GP Practice or Health Care Organisation

A self starter, driven and likes to take ownership of their work

Able to communicate internally and externally providing a high level of service

Good written skills to respond to member enquiries

Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail

Be able to multi - task in a fast paced environment.

BENEFITS

Salary: £25,000 pro rata (£12p/h)

Hours: 40hrs p/w shift pattern between 8AM - 8PM (inc weekends)
