Due to retirement, an exciting
opportunity has arisen for a Salaried / Partner GP Position at The Chestnuts
Surgery, Sittingbourne, Kent. We are looking for 6 or more sessions per week,
however as a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that
you can work in a way that is best for us, for our patients and for you, we
therefore welcome discussions around flexible working. The position offers
scope to incorporate your interests combined with highly competitive
remuneration rates.

The Chestnuts Surgery is an innovative, friendly and
forward thinking surgery, located in the Garden of England, North Kent Coast
delivering a range of services to our patients. Where we lead others follow. General Practice is changing at pace and we

Main duties of the job
We offer a dynamic
mix of GP and nursing services for chronic and acute conditions as well as
providing cover for extended access to support the Sittingbourne Primary Care
Network.
GPs at the
practice work in a multidisciplinary team to provide same day assessment as
well as pre booked appointments. This includes a mix of Advanced Nurse Practitioners
and a Paramedic Practitioner.
Constantly
looking at ways to improve patient care and ensure we use a holistic
approach working with our colleagues in the Primary Care Network and Community
teams.
In addition to
routine GP clinics we run a highly organised nurse led chronic disease
service. We have a fully developed
network linked medication team including Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
providing significant savings in GP time.
We also benefit
from the Sittingbourne PCN Social Prescribing Team and a First Contact
Physiotherapist and Health and Wellbeing trainers. Setting up group
consultations is a current focus for the practice to develop and give our
patients an opportunity to share experiences, discuss ways of managing their
chronic conditions and built a social network with other patients while
improving the efficiency of consultations.
Our list size is 10,500 patients
and our patient demographic encompasses urban and suburban residents.
Sittingbourne falls within the London commuter belt and is experiencing
significant growth and change with increasing housing developments and new
leisure facilities.

and effective workflow management process that allows for GP workload to be
delegated to other team members where appropriate.

payment of up to £15,000 spread across 13 months for non-fellowship roles (GP attraction
offer). If you apply for a fellowship post, this funding will support the
training element.
