Our Practice is a large forward thinking, innovative training practice with a great team!
We provide care for our 12,000 patients and we are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and highly motivated Doctor to be come part of our friendly family.
The successful applicant will be encouraged to take an active role in the leadership and development of the practice, incorporating all the aspects of being a GP.
You should enjoy working as part of a supportive, collaborative multi-disciplinary team. You should be friendly and open with good communication skills.
We want someone who will help us provide the best possible care for all our patients.
Main duties of the job
Delivery of a high standard of primary care to our patients (via both telephone and face to face consultations)
Effective management of patient's long term conditions
Processing of administration including referrals, prescription issues, pathology result and other associated tasks
Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvements, development and quality initiatives within the practice
Attend and contribute to weekly clinical meetings and other practice meetings.
Support the partners and the management team in achieving strategic aims, for both ourselves and the wider PCN

We are an innovative, forward thinking and creative training practice with 6 partners, 2 salaried GP's and 6 registrars.
We have a list size of approximately 12,00 patients covering some of the most deprived areas of the region.

The successful candidate will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest possible level of care for all our patients.
You will be carrying out surgery consultations, telephone and face to face queries, visiting patients homes and care homes and processing prescription requests.
You will be required to complete a share of the other admin duties in the practice with the help of our growing and supportive admin teams.
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
Develop care plans for health consultation with patients and in line with current practice protocols
Refer patients to other care providers as appropriate
Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care
Support the trainers and trainees in our practice in their further development
Commit to life-long learning to ensure evidence based best practice and remain up to date in knowledge and skills
Communicate clearly and effectively with other team members, patients and carers.

- GMC recognised undergraduate degree and valid license
- Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of General Medicine
