We are looking for fully qualified Nurse Associates to come and work within our practice nursing teams to deliver high quality primary care services to our 45,000 patients spread over 4 different GP practices.
Candidates must have completed their Nursing Associate training and be on the NMC register, however experience in primary care is not essential as a full package of training and mentorship will be provided. So if you want to develop your career in primary care in a supportive environment with bags of patient contact this is the role you have been looking for!
Main duties of the job
· Independently carry out specific delegated clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency without direct supervision within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role.
· To carry out a range of delegated routine clinical duties including but not limited to: blood pressure, pulse and temperature, respirations recording, urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring,
· Undertake clinical tasks e.g. simple wound dressings, bandaging, venepuncture, medicines administration, insulin injections, continence care, stoma care, catheterisation and condition monitoring.
· Support individuals with all aspects of care, providing person-centred care and promoting health and independence through awareness raising and care navigation to other professionals as appropriate.
· Assist in the delivery of complex care as delegated by the registered nurse
· Assist with the implementation and monitoring of clinical standards and outcomes
