Job summary

We are a dynamic, supportive, training practice in Highgate, Birmingham. Our practice ethos embraces equality and diversity. We are active members of Edgbaston & Harborne PCN.

We are looking to recruit a permanent, part-time salaried GP to help maintain our high standard of clinical care. We encourage clinical leadership, career development, and progression to Partnership in time if mutually agreeable and desirable. We are looking for candidates with enthusiasm for General Practice, who care about its future, who want to get involved and who would like the satisfaction that continuity of care, building patient rapport and being part of a team brings to being a GP. We are a training practice for both specialist trainees and medical students.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role will be to uphold the high standards of care and services we offer to our patients on a day to day basis. You will demonstrate safe treatment and evaluation of patients with quality history taking, clinical assessment and diagnosis.

Your appointments will be offered as face to face, telephone and video consultations.

About us

The Wand Medical Centre is a modern purpose built practice in Highgate with a growing register of 6200.

We are a team of 2 GP Partners, 4 salaried GPs, 2 Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate, 1 HCA, 1 Practice Manager, 1 Administration Manager a very knowledgeable Admin Team & addition roles from our PCN of a Paramedic, Pharmacist, First Contact Physiotherapist, Health & Wellbeing Coach, Social Prescriber & Mental Health Practitioner.

We are a training Practice and enjoy the opportunity of training future GP's and helping them to develop and gain skills to manage in an ever changing and diverse NHS.

Our primary computer systems are EMIS Web, Docman 10 & GP Team Net.

We are part of the My Healthcare Federation and Edgbaston Primary Care Network (PCN).

In addition to all core services we offer minor operations, sexual health LARC services and travel vaccine clinics.
