Job summary
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing
the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient
and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive
and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the
telephone.
Main duties of the job
The practice is looking for a medical receptionist
to answer the practice phone line and help deal with patient enquiries.
This requires good listening skills, empathy, quick
thinking and patience. We are in a very challenging time for the NHS but the
practice requires additional cover to support the ongoing running of the
practice.
The daily routine has changed significantly and very quickly so the
successful candidate will have to be a quick learner and have a dynamic and
enthusiastic approach.
