We are looking to
recruit a receptionist to join our busy, expanding practice. We pride ourselves
in delivering excellent patient care and the suitable applicants will have the
ability to liaise with patients in a busy reception department.

The successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills. You will be expected to work on your own initiative
and also work well within a team environment. The duties of a GP receptionist
will include; booking appointments, handling a large volume of incoming calls/online requests,
processing patient queries and general day to day office duties. If you would

require committed, flexible people to work 30hrs a week 12.30-6.30pm Monday to Friday.

GP partners, 4 salaried GP's, 1 long-term locum GP, 3 ANPs, 2 practice nurses

Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service
or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive
and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the
telephone.

have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures
- To
work in accordance of written protocols
Reception
- Receiving
patients, consulting with members of practice team
- Handing
completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
- Collect
data as necessary e.g. up to date contact numbers / smoking status etc.
Appointments
- Process
appointment requests for today/future appointments from patients by
telephone and in person.
- Deal
with visits/requests
Computer
- Process
patients changes of address computer data and medical records
- Process
repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelines
Other Tasks
- Clear
rooms after surgeries
- Ensure
building security to follow protocol
Any other tasks
allocated by managers
