Job summary
Situated in the socially and culturally
diverse inner-city East Birmingham (B9 5PU) we serve
approximately 17500 patients; working from a large modern purpose-built
facility, offering a range of services caring for the needs of our patients
which extends beyond traditional GP healthcare. Our site is the hub for the
Birmingham East Central PCN (50000+ patients from 5 GP Practices) and many of
our innovative social prescribing activities are based from here. Our clinical
team include a range of roles which has expanded with the recent ARR scheme. We
have a 'good' rating with CQC and are well recognised in the local health
network.
Main duties of the job
Our patients are triaged
via phone and seen on-site (or at home) if needed. On-site support is always
available. Time is allocated for admin generated from these contacts. You would
work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and the job would include the
opportunity for supervision and teaching. We encourage our GPs to develop
external interests and roles.
We are looking to recruit
a Salaried GP with the option to progress to partnership for between 4-9
sessions per week. Job-sharing applicants could be considered. We are
particularly looking for candidates who are available to work Wednesday to
Fridays and may be flexible to potentially be available for extended access
clinics on evenings or on Saturdays. We
are open to developing an interest
in respiratory domains of the contracts.
We
would welcome GPs at all stages of their career to apply. Being a training
practice, we have a tradition of seeing trainees return to join the team but
equally have recruited experienced GPs in the recent past.
About us
Our friendly and welcoming
team (50+) consists of GPs who are partners and salaried, nurses, a clinical
pharmacist, physicians associates, HCA's and an extensive and diverse
management and admin team. We are training practice for GP registrars and
medical students with regular in-house education meetings.
All the services expected
from a modern, progressive GP facility are provided on-site by our MDT.
We provide enhanced level
care to two nearby nursing homes.
