Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Receptionist to join our welcoming and friendly team at Omnia Medical Practice, we a forward thinking and friendly practice based in the East of Birmingham. We are looking to employ another Receptionists to join our friendly, approachable and committed team who enjoy the work they do.

If you are customer focused, with an eye for detail and willing to go that extra mile for our patients you are the ideal candidate.

Main duties of the job

The primary responsibility is to provide a high quality clerical and administrative service to our patients. Responsible for all front of house services and patient signposting.

The ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness & common sense, work under pressure whilst remaining calm is essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team. A flexible and co-operative approach is essential.

All aspects of reception and administration duties within a GP Practice including but not limited to:

Dealing with patient queries by telephone, online platform and in person.

Assisting all members of the Practice team

Adhering to health and safety, confidentiality, policies and procedures plus mandatory training

All reasonable tasks as required by Management and Doctors.

Hours will be 11.30-20.00 but (flexibility will be required for cover sometimes).

Previous GP experience as desirable and having worked in a public facing roll will be a benefit.

We serve approximately 17000 socially and culturally diverse patients, we work from a large modern purpose built facility offering a range of services caring for the needs of our patients which extends beyond traditional GP healthcare. Our Community Hub, situated in reception was set up with our patients overall wellbeing in mind, It offers a place to come together and enjoy shared interests and hobbies on a weekly basis with activities ranging from walking, knitting and gardening to bicycle tuition.

The practice is made up of a large family of professionals comprising of GPs, Nurses, HCAs, Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, PA's in addition we have an experienced management and administration team who work together with the shared aim of providing excellent patient care to all of our patients. This is a shared vision for both the partners and the staff of the practice.
