Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic,
forward, thinking, compassionate GP to join our practice to support with expanding
patient numbers and retirement.
Main duties of the job
Typical GP duties including
Various methods of patient consultations, F2F, telephone, online. With Communication to patients via AccuRx for messages, leaflets and links for additional information.
Consultations are 15 mins and a full day usually has 26-28 mixed consultations per day
Each GP is responsible for a patient list (F/T size is approx 1850 pts)
Prescriptions, discharge summaries and secondary care paperwork plus self generated referrals etc
Daily Clinician meeting to support each other and share information
Working with the Practice team to seek innovation and continuous improvement, support care through GSF and MDT meetings
Qof, Enhanced services, prescribing initiatives are all part of the care delivered as a practice team.
About us
We are a teaching practice, with 5 partners
and 7 salaried GPs, 2 ANPs, 1 paramedic, 4 nurses, 2 HCAs, and ARRS roles
(clinical pharmacist, mental health practitioner, paramedic) and a dedicated
Frailty Team and Community Matron, looking after 15,000 patients.

challenging times that we are in. Staff welfare is very important to us, therefore
each clinician has a mentor, as well as daily meetings.

- a degree in medicine recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
- a two-year foundation programme of general training
- specialist training in general practice.

- the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
- excellent listening and communication skills for dealing with patients
- leadership skills, especially if working as a partner in a practice
