Well Up North Primary Care Network are looking to recruit a part time Research Nurse to join our growing and diverse network team.
This is a new and exciting opportunity to be part of a unique and forward thinking Network.
You can make a direct and positive impact on patient care and develop your clinical expertise and skills- all whilst helping the PCN expand it's research work.
Previous experience in primary care is not essential, but would be advantageous.
This role is permanent, and for a maximum of three days per week. - Days are entirely flexible to suit the candidate.
Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will integrate with the twelve PCN practices, taking responsibility for the management, co-ordination and facilitation of research studies.
The post holder will be responsible for the care and supervision of patients, and responsible for data collection of research work on behalf of the PCN.
The post holder will be capable of working autonomously, whilst maintaining excellent communication with the PCN Executive team and GP Practices within the Network.
The post holder will have developed excellent clinical skills enabling them to support research work as required.

The post holder will be working as part of the Well Up North Primary Care Network (PCN), a combined list of over 80,000 patients and a group of 12 practices;
Alnwick Medical Group,Belford Medical Group, Cheviot Medical Group, Coquet Medical Group, Felton Surgery, Gas House Lane, Glendale Surgery, Greystoke Surgery, Rothbury Practice, Union Brae, Well Close Medical Group and Widdrington Surgery.

Qualifications
Essential
- Essential Registered (first level) nurse
- Current Registration with NMC
Desirable
- Post grad diploma or degree relating to primary care
- Certified in ICH GCP clinical Research
