OAKENHURST MEDICAL PRACTICE

PRACTICE NURSE

We are looking to recruit fully qualified Practice Nurses who is friendly and enthusiastic to provide a high quality of care to our patients.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join our friendly and supportive team in offering primary care services to our growing population.

The scope of the role will include chronic disease management, childhood immunisations, cytology, travel, Childhood and immunisation Vaccinations.

A successful candidate will also be confident, have excellent organisational skills, be able to self-manage and be IT proficient.

A comprehensive knowledge of QOF and QOEST would be an advantage but not essential.

We will consider full time and part-time applications.

About us

Oakenhurst Medical Practice has a patient base of 10,000 within Blackburn with Darwen. We provide core General Medical Services including GP, Practice Nurse and Health Care Assistant consultations, regular review of long-term health conditions, mental health disorders, palliative and end of life care and home visits to housebound patients. The additional services our Practice offers our patients is child health surveillance, routine childhood vaccinations and immunisations, maternity services, contraception services, cervical cytology and routine adult vaccinations and immunisation.

Our Practice is based in a purpose built Health Centre in central Blackburn and we have a branch surgery in Mellor, within the Ribble Valley.

We are a large training practice who prides ourselves in delivering high quality care whilst maintaining the traditional values of patient-centred family medicine.
