In this key administrative role, youll be at the heart of our prescription services ensuring requests are processed safely, efficiently, and in line with NHS protocols. You'll collaborate with prescribers, pharmacists, reception teams, and patients to help deliver a seamless, professional service that truly makes a difference.

Main duties of the job
Main Duties:

Process repeat prescription requests accurately and in line with Practice protocols and procedures.

Ensure safe and timely issuing of prescriptions.

Respond to patient and pharmacy queries regarding prescription status.

Support medication monitoring tasks, including blood tests and quality frameworks like QOF.

Work closely with prescribers, pharmacists, dispensary staff, and other healthcare professionals.

Provide excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Assist with audits and undertake mandatory training as required.

- Previous experience working in a Primary Care setting.
- Experience in prescription administration.
- Knowledge and use of GP clinical systems, preferably SystmOne.
- Good Interpersonal a Highly motivated with a willingness to undertake training to update and maintain skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Able to prioritise a varied workload in a busy environment.
- Reliable, with a strong attendance record.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Awareness of role accountability and understanding of how your role fits within the wider Practice team.nd Communication Skills
Desirable
- Confident in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexible and willing to work additional hours when required to meet the needs of the Practice.
