Job summary
This position is for an experienced Practice Manager, For a small friendly practice in Castletown, Sunderland. It is a part time position and requires someone to be enthusiastic, multi skilled and have the relevant experience. It is within a small boundary area, very much a village feel.
Main duties of the job
Qualifications Essential
- Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Educated to degree level in healthcare or business
- Leadership and/or Management Qualification
- AMSPAR Qualification
Experience Essential
- Experience working with the general public
- Experience working in general practice
- Experience in managing accounting procedures including budget and cash flow forecasting
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Experience in managing large multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in performance management, including appraisal writing, staff development, and disciplinary procedures
- Experience in successfully developing and implementing projects
- Experience in workforce planning, forecasting, and development
Desirable
- NHS / Primary Care General Practice experience
- Relevant health and safety experience
- Experience in chairing meetings, producing agendas and minutes
About us
We are a small practice based in Castletown Sunderland. We have 2100 patients.
We have 2 GP partners, 1 Practice Manager, 1 Practice Nurse, Practice Pharmacist and also an admin/reception team.
