Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced nurse with Leadership and Management ability. We are a large nursing team comprising of 4 Practice Nurses and 3 HCA's.
We require staff to have the capability to support and develop our team, drive clinical excellence and continue to support our patient population of often highly complex clients.

- Based in Hucknall, Nottingham
- Highly organised GMS practice, with a patient population of 15,700.
- Rated good in CQC inspection
- Teaching practice for pre and post basic clinical education
- Compliment of 7 GP's, 4 Practice Nurses, 3 HCA's and 24 admin staff
- Additional allied health professionals including Pharmacist, Advanced Care Practitioners and physiotherapist

- Lead the nursing service in
participation with the Head Of Practice Development and Practice Manager,
ensuring relevant information is disseminated to and from the nursing
staff
- Ensure adequate nursing cover is
provided while within the practice guidelines, keeping the Practice
manager informed of any problems
- Plan, chair and minute management and
training meetings for all nurses, in the absence of the Lead Nurse
- Lead on all clinical and operational management
areas including off duty , meetings management , human resource management
of staff ,staff induction and appraisal, management of learning events and
annual leave
- It will be necessary to
attend and contribute to various practice meetings as requested,
including, but not limited to, weekly clinical meeting, monthly MDT
meeting, bi-monthly GSF meeting and quarterly safeguarding meetings
- Participate in the education and
training of students of all disciplines and the introduction of all
members of the practice staff where appropriate
- Maintain continued education by
attendance at courses and study days as deemed useful or necessary for
professional development, ensuring revalidation requirements are met.
- If it is necessary to expand the role
to include additional responsibilities, full training will be given.
