Salaried GP sought for Amicus Health (Clare House Surgery, 4-6 sessions), Tiverton, Devon

We are Amicus Health.
We have morning meetings with coffee (and often cake), space for lunch together, yoga courses for staff and at least two parties a year. We are now actively seeking 2 salaried GPs to join our caring, cohesive and vibrant team.
We have two sites in beautiful Mid Devon and our multidisciplinary clinical team of 8 partners, 15 salaried GPs, 9 Practice Nurses and HCAs strive to deliver excellent primary care to our patients. Due to our growing list size, we are looking for caring and dynamic doctors to join us.

Main duties of the job
- Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and associated work and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Making decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.
- Providing counselling and health education.
- Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
- In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Amicus Health is a partnership of 8 GPs with a range of interests and specialisms. They are united by their ambition to deliver good quality patient care in an environment that supports the wellbeing of the staff they work alongside. Amicus Health covers Clare House and Bampton Surgeries and provides care for 18,000 patients across Tiverton and Bampton.
We have a team of over 80 staff, including GPs, Nurses, Paramedics, Pharmacists, HCAs and a strong administrative function. We are looking to develop our GP workforce to further strengthen our offer to patients and ensure that we can meet the needs of our growing patient list.
Despite the size of the organisation, there is still a strong team ethos and focus on staff support and wellbeing. The GP team have daily meetings, lunch breaks together, a fortnightly clinical team meeting and a named mentor.
