Clinical Coder

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced clinical coder to assist with keeping our patients' records accurate and up to date. We would like to take on an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to work within our dedicated team.

Main duties of the job

The role involves accurately extracting and interpreting medical information from clinical letters and coding this appropriately on the clinical system (SystmOne) and making a responsible judgment as to whether the letters need to be forwarded to a GP for action. You will also need to accurately summarise and code incoming medical records, andcarry out any other administrative duties in connection with coding.

We are a very busy GP surgery based at the modern Valley Centre in St Anns, Nottingham. With over 10,000 patients, there is never a dull moment! We have a great team working with us, many of whom have been here for years.We are a training practice, supporting the training of multiple GP registrars each year - many of whom have returned to work with us following completion of their training!
