Lime Grove Medical Centre is looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our fast paced and exciting reception team.
We are based in the semi rural town of Matlock,Derbyshire and are passionate about delivering exceptional care to all of our patients.
Main duties of the job
The Reception apprentice role will include
greeting patients, booking appointments, answering the phone, processing repeat
prescriptions, liaising with doctors and other healthcare professionals and additional administration tasks.
This is a busy but varied role working within a strong and supportive team.
Full training will be given and there will be lots to learn. We require someone who has excellentinterpersonal skills, can communicate effectively at all levels,is fully IT
literate, happy to learn new software and systems and an excellent team player. We are looking for someone who is
friendly, flexible, capable and enthusiastic.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within Lime Grove
Medical Centre, Matlock, Derbyshire, for an Apprentice Medical Receptionist
working 37.5 hours per week. We are looking for an enthusiastic, courteous,
self-motivated professional individual to work within a team who are driven to provide
the very best levels of care within General Practice.
Our approach to delivering healthcare services is innovative, refreshing and
above all caring. We are committed to putting patient care first and we are

You would be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and
administrative duties which can include but are not limited to;
greeting and directing patients,
processing of information (electronic and hard copy),
operating a computerised appointment
system, booking a variety of health care professional appointments
care navigation - signposting the
patients to the most appropriate service
Ensuring repeat prescriptions are actioned
appropriately
booking home visits
handling any other patient requests in a
timely manner
scanning letters onto patient records
sending out letters / text messages as
required
must adhere to data protection
requirements and ensure confidentiality at all times
You will need excellent communication
and interpersonal skills and will be able to successfully contribute to our
team. In addition you will be able work under pressure whilst developing the skills
to problem solve as well as having good organisational and IT skills.
