Our well-established GP practice in North Manchester, serving approximately 14,000 patients, is seeking a motivated Nurse Associate to join our collaborative team. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality patient care and fostering a supportive environment for our staff.
About You:
Ideally, you will have previous experience working as a Nurse Associate within primary care. However, we highly value transferable skills and a strong commitment to learning. If you are a compassionate and proactive individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, we are willing to invest in your training and development.
Main duties of the job
The Role:
As a Nurse Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care under the supervision of our experienced nursing team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine health checks and assessments.
- Administering vaccinations and medications as per protocol.
Managing long-term conditions under the direction of the nursing team.
- Taking blood samples and other clinical observations.
Educating patients on health promotion and self-management.
Assisting in the sexual health clinic, and performing smears once trained
- Contributing to the smooth running of clinics and supporting the wider practice team.
- Allocated administration time to support your role.
