Job summary
We are looking for a proactive person to support our clinical research department.
You will be assisting the research nurses with clinical trails and research studies.
Main duties of the job
To provide clinical support for trials and research
studies.
To provide administrative and data management support
for research studies.
To coordinate volunteer recruitment and management in
clinical trials.
Work collaboratively with research nurses in providing
specialist research and clinical care to research participants.
Assist in implementation of research programs.
Provide patient care and record patient information.
About us
Oaks Healthcare are a large GP practice based in Waterlooville. We are a training practice as well as a research practice.
We have over 16,000 patients, with 9GPs and 4 ANPs as well as other clinical staff
The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Assist and support research nurses with accurate
completion of trial paperwork and visits as required by clinical trial
protocols, checking eligibility of patients for entry into trials and
randomising/registering patients into trials according to protocol
requirements.

- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office
- Skills in managing databases, research databases and EMIS Web IT systems
- Skills in administration
- Good verbal and written communication, presentational, training and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and cope in a demanding environment and cope under pressure
- Ability to work independently and prioritise own workload
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of clinical research
- Knowledge of ethical and quality standards applicable of clinical research studies including GCP requirements
Desirable
- Knowledge of the Health Service, research, the pharmaceutical industry and relevant research science
Experience
Essential
- Experience in administration in clinical research studies
- Experience of liaising with staff at all levels in healthcare
- Experience of survey software and data entry
- Previous administration/data entry experience
- Previous NHS primary care experience

- Experience of recruiting participants
- Experience of maintaining study files according to regulatory body

- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
