Job summary
We are looking to recruit a second Dispensary Assistant at Long Bennington Medical Centre, a rural practice on the borders of
Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
We have a busy Dispensary providing dispensing services to
approximately 95% of our patients. Our team work closely with both Drs and
Clinical Pharmacists ensuring that patient needs are met with efficiency and in
a timely manner.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated
individual with excellent customer service skills to work 15 hours per week, Monday - Friday afternoons on a permanent contract.
Ideally candidates will have experience of
working with SystmOne and General Practice, however full training can be provided.

dispensary assistant. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out
other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing
levels:
Acting as the focal point for patients, answering the
dispensary phone and hatch
Issuing
NHS prescriptions and dispensed medication directly to patients
Collecting
prescription charges in accordance with dispensary protocol and checking
patient exemption statements

We are a GP led, Dispensing practice based in a rural
location on the borders of Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. We
are friendly team comprising of 5 GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists,
Dispensers an HCA and Phlebotomist who are superbly supported by our Reception and
Administration teams. We firmly believe that it takes the entire team to make

Process
prescription requests via email, phone, face-to-face and online

Assisting
the Dispensary Manager in the preparation of monthly returns
o.
Maintaining
a clean and safe working environment at all times
p.
Maintain
accurate records at all times, read coding entries appropriately
q.
To
ensure adequate dispensary stock levels and dispensary stationery and assist in
maintaining an effective stock rotation and management system
Participate in overtime rota when required to
cover holidays and sickness
