Job summary

We are looking for a Reception Assistant to join us on a temporary basis to provide cover for maternity leave.

Main duties of the job

You will be confident, able to work independently and have experience of using IT systems. You need to be able to work flexible shifts between 8.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. Previous customer facing experience is required.

Plas Ffynnon Medical Centre is located in Oswestry town centre. We provide excellent healthcare services to over 9000 patients. The role of Reception Assistant is key to our good reputation as you are the first person with whom our patients have contact.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities:-

To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with patients, booking appointments, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries.

Deal with patient queries at the Reception Desk.

Deal with patient queries sent by email and other electronic means.

File patient records and correspondence in patient medical records.

Tasks (EMIS & Docman).

Managing incoming and outgoing mail.

Hospital Liaison - dealing with Hospital requests from Doctors and patients.

Monitoring patient call and recall systems and making appointments as required.

Scanning.

Any other duties as required to support the reception and admin team
