Main duties of the job

Working autonomously, you will be responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, ensuring the highest standards. Supporting and supported by the clinical and non-clinical team, you'll manage a caseload dealing with a wide range of health needs.

You will have sound clinical skills, but equally important is an appreciation of the benefit of working as part of the larger team, and the desire to act accordingly. Team working creates a virtuous circle where both our patients and our work life balance benefit.

We invest in our staff so they are more able to invest in our patients, and in turn our patients are happy to invest their trust in us.

About us

The Surgery is a high performing dispensing practice, serving a growing rural community of 8100 patients. As well as being a registered sponsor for skilled worker visas, we are also an Associated Training Practice, hosting GP Trainees, with a view to full Training Practice status in the future. We operate from purpose-built premises, and our team includes GPs, ANPs, Pharmacy specialists, Practice Nursing and a committed admin team.

We use SystmOne, Lexacom Dictation and AccuRx. We are always open to new ideas and seek to learn from our colleagues.

We are heavily involved in the development of our PCN (South Dales Healthcare), seeking to maximise opportunities and integrate newly funded roles and projects into our clinical approach (e.g. Paramedics, Pharmacy, Physios, Social Prescribing etc). In this way we are building resilience, alongside our reputation for excellent patient care and outcomes.

We can therefore offer excellent opportunities for GPs with special interests or those who wish to pursue a particular direction. We want your ideas and full participation in our future success.

This ad will close on Monday 30 May 2022 23:59. We do however reserve the right to extend or close early.
