Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated Patient Services Advisor to join our
friendly team to assist in all aspects of reception duties.
The position will be based at Holsworthy Medical Centre with the following hours;
Tuesday 8am - 6pm
Thursday 8am - 6pm
Friday 8am - 6pm
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide care navigation, support and services to all members of the patient
group and allied professionals, and provide administrative support and services
to all members of the Practice team.
The position's duties will include;

Answering
phones dealing with patient and hospital queries, booking appointments with the
appropriate member of staff or advising patients on alternative services as
needed.

Greeting
patients at the desk, book appointments for patients when needed. Monitoring
arrivals and monitoring the flow of patients in the waiting areas

Registering
patients and maintaining accurate administrative patient information.

Appointments
To
ensure total familiarity with the patient appointments system including routine
and emergency bookings and protocols.
To
book appointments and recalls for patients and clinicians, either on the
telephone or face-to-face at the desk.
To
be aware of changes in the implementation of bookings as needed.
To
greet patients at the desk and monitor arrivals, monitoring the flow of patients
in the waiting areas to ensure the appointment system accurately reflects the
arrival of patients.
Maintenance of
Patient Registrations
To
be familiar with the registration process for all types of patient (temporary,
full or Out of Area) and apply as requested.
To
maintain administrative patient information accurately (address details,
telephone numbers) and update as required to reflect accurately every patients
details and to ensure confidentiality.
To
be familiar with proxy access regulations and action as requested.
Patient Environment
To
maintain patient information in the waiting areas to reflect current practice
and to promote local health initiatives.
To
ensure that all patient information on display is accessible to all patients
and reflects the view of the practice.
Administrative
Support
To
provide working and cover support to all other administrative teams as needs
arise.
